BARCELONA, Sorsogon— Typhoon Nona battered and devastated the province of Sorsogon a week before Christmas. PCCED was among the organizations that extended a helping hand to those affected by the typhoon.

At least 100 families from the Barangays of Macabari, Layog, Luneta, Tagdon, and Jibong benefited from the food packs distributed by the organization containing 2 kilos of rice, noodles, canned goods, and other basic necessities.

Most of the beneficiaries came from the coastal area who were directly affected by the rage of the typhoon. Typhoon Nona battered most of the towns in the second district including Barcelona, Bulan, Bulusan, and Gubat a week that caused significant destruction in the said areas.
